Slide & Sail
We're sorry, the game is taking a little while to load, please be patient even if your browser isn't responding :) Interface issues, please play in full screen :) (small button in the bottom right corner to enlarge)
End of jam, panic, stress, catastrophic optimization, first 3D game, we should have stuck with 2D :o
☠️ What is the game?☠️
Start with a small vessel and become the terror of the seas. As your reputation grows, your ship will expand
Customize your playstyle by adjusting three sliders: Firepower, Repairs, and Economy. Each choice influences your ship's performance, forcing you to adapt your strategy in both combat and exploration
The three sliders:
Cannons / Timeline Speed
Repair / Reputation
Loot / Cannonball Power

Gain resources, unlock larger ships, triumph over formidable enemies, and watch your ship physically evolve from a fragile craft to a gigantic battleship
☠️Move, play with your three sliders! ☠️

How we interpreted the theme "Scale"
Our core gameplay mechanic revolves around sliders that constantly adjust every aspect of the game: rewards, attacks, effects, reputation, and progression.
Every decision influences your combat effectiveness and earnings
Player progression also allows you to reach increasing difficulty levels: more powerful ships, more formidable enemies, greater rewards, more devastating projectiles, and impactful animations that reinforce the feeling of growing power.
Our approach is fairly classic and straightforward.
Due to time constraints, we had to remove an evolving merchant system that would have added another dimension to progression by enriching the upgrades available throughout the adventure :)
✨ Bonus challenges
- Mouse only: Your game should be fully controlled using only the mouse
- We tried, but without much success, Symmetry: Your game should heavily feature symmetrical elements in visuals, mechanics or both
Developer's note: Shader problem
The water isn't rendering quite as expected. We encountered unexpected limitations with Unity's WebGL rendering on itch.io, particularly with our water shader. It's a real shame
Here's a quick look at what we were seeing: (RIP Shader)

This was such a great game omg I think all of this in a 48hrs jam is absolutly crazy! Had a lot of fun playing. When I was playing I felt like the tutorial was too overwhelming, like I got bombed with information so it took a bit to catch up, but the amount of mechanics and all the game was fantastic.
